I had the wonderful opportunity to stay overnight in the Suffolk, VA Earthship with Melina Winterton, her husband Larry Peck, and their children. I wanted to document this 'green home' project in hopes of spreading the word about viable eco-home options many believe to still be unobtainable. What is an earthship?

Earthship n. 1. - a passive solar home made of natural and recycled materials 2. thermal mass construction for temperature stabilization. 3. renewable energy & integrated water systems make the Earthship a potential off-grid home with little to no utility bills.
